Venue Description:
Museum of London Docklands traces the 2,000 year history of London’s river, port and people, a storyline stretching from the arrival of the Romans to the rise of Canary Wharf. Located over five floors of a splendid Georgian warehouse, the Museum of London Docklands is Canary Wharf’s only Grade I listed venue.
Built in 1802, the warehouse was originally use to store vast quantities of rum, molasses, coffee, pimento and cotton from the West India slave plantations. Today it offers a distinctive backdrop for entertaining, its original pine columns and floors juxtaposed stylishly with contemporary fittings.
Its ideal location in the heart of Canary Wharf’s business district provides delegates modern facilities within an historic setting. Whether you are require a fully equipped lecture theatre for 150 delegates in a formal conference setting, a small boardroom accommodating up to 16 delegates for a relaxed meeting, or something in between, Museum of London Docklands is able to assist you. Easily accessible by the underground (Jubilee line) and Docklands Light Railway, Museum of London Docklands provides you with the opportunity to hold your event in the capital away from the stress and bustle of city life.

Each of the galleries looks at a different era of the London’s port history, allowing your guests to explore Roman settlement, the sights and sounds of 1840s Sailortown and the regeneration of the Docklands area.
